Terms of use

The service

Acadex is a personal productivity tool provided by the operator of this Acadex deployment. It lets you record and organise your own academic information: courses, attendance, marks, timetable and plans. It also runs calculations on that information for you.

Not an official SRMIST service

Acadex isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by SRM Institute of Science and Technology. It has no connection to the Academia portal or the Student Portal and doesn't retrieve data from them. Official records, regulations and announcements from your institution always take precedence over anything shown in Acadex.

Calculations are estimates

Margins, recovery counts, leave and OD/ML impact, required scores and analytics are arithmetic on the numbers you provide, under the assumptions shown next to them. They are not official eligibility decisions or grades. Don't rely on them in place of your institution's records or rules. The Bunk Planner is a risk-awareness tool and doesn't encourage missing required classes.

Your account

• Give accurate sign-up details and keep your password secret. You're responsible for activity under your account.
• One person per account. Don't share accounts or access anyone else's data.
• Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

Acceptable use

You must not:

• upload documents you have no right to use, or other people's personal records;
• add private personal information about faculty or other students beyond what's officially published for students;
• attempt to break, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer or bypass the security or rate limits of Acadex;
• use Acadex to automate access to SRMIST systems, or to bypass their authentication or controls;
• use Acadex for anything unlawful.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you enter or upload. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide Acadex to you, as described in the privacy notice. We don't use your content to train AI models.

Availability and changes

Acadex is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may change, pause or discontinue features. If the service is going to shut down, we'll give reasonable notice so you can export your data.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made using Acadex's estimates, including attendance shortfalls or academic outcomes. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or threaten the security of the service, and will explain why where we can.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
